A 5-year-old boy died late Saturday night in the North African country of Morocco. 4 days ago, this child had fallen into a 100 feet deep well of Chef Chauen city here. After a 100-hour long operation that lasted till Saturday night, the rescue team pulled out the child. A boy named Ryan had suffered head injuries. After being pulled from the well, he was sent to the hospital, where he died.

The circumference of the well in which the child was trapped was only 20 inches. Morocco's King Mohammed VI also mourned the death of the child. For the child, Moroccans also ran a hashtag on social media called Save Ryan. Because of this the rescue operation caught the attention of the whole world.

An Associated Press reporter present at the scene said she was wrapped in a yellow blanket and sent to the hospital after being pulled out of the well. The child was in a very helpless condition inside the well. Rescue teams were sending him oxygen and water through ropes. A camera was also used to monitor him.

On Saturday morning, Abdelhadi Temrani, chief of the rescue operation, said that it is not possible to say anything about the condition of the child at this time, but we expect from God that the child is alive. For three days, the rescue team used bulldozers to dig a parallel trench. Then on Friday, they started digging a horizontal tunnel to reach the trapped boy.
